To pay respect to all the hard work done by the small, family-owned tea farm in Rwanda, we present an Rwandan organic black tea. The name “Rukeri” comes from the estate founded by Europeans nearly 50 years ago. Over 3,000 tons of orthodox tea is produced at the Rukeri Estate each year. This quality black tea displays a long, wiry, brownish leaf that tastes slightly spicy with pleasant citrus notes.
Organic Rukeri Black Tea brews for 4-5 minutes at 200 F. Use 1 level teaspoon of dry ingredients for a 6-ounce cup. Re-steep ingredients up to 3 times without compromising flavor or quality.
